This spectacular video of a lightning storm was captured over east Donegal last night.
Photographer and architect, Brian McElhinney, recorded the event between 10pm and 10:30pm from his home near Convoy.
The thunder and lightning storm coincided with outages that left around 2,000 homes and business in east and southwest Donegal without power.
