Twelve drivers were issued with fines and penalty points in just one hour outside Letterkenny yesterday afternoon.
In a very busy weekend for gardaí, the Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit were in action on the N13 dual carriageway.
The speed limit in that area is 100KPH, but some motorists were clocked going almost 150km/h.
“These drivers will now each have to pay a fine of €160 and will receive 3 penalty points. Slow down,” said a garda spokesperson.
