It was another busy week for Letterkenny Athletic Club.
Congratulations to LAC member Naoise Enright who claimed first place in the Letterkenny Community Centre 5km which was held in conjunction with Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital.
LAC’s Fern Duffy had an eventful day in Belfast on Bank Holiday Monday when she finished in 1st place in the Club Senior Women’s triple jump. Well done Fern.
Congratulations is also due to clubman Marc Wallace who won the inaugural Malin RNLI Tower to Town Challenge in a time of 54:50.
A 5km road race in Ballyshannon over the weekend saw four LAC members participate (main pic).
The first LAC member to cross the line was Michael Harkin with a personal best of 17:19, Barry Mackey ran 18:37, Peter Gallagher ran 19:16 and Fintan Smith finished in a time of 20:14. Michael Freeburn completed the 5km in 27:21. In the Dún Luiche 5 km race club member Manus McFadden completed the race in 20:23.

LAC meets Tuesday 5.15pm and at 6.30pm for an interval running session, Thursday evening for a hill run at 6pm, Saturday morning at 9.30am for a tempo run and Sunday morning at 8am for a long run.
All runs start at the Aura. All levels catered for and encouraged.
Fit 4 Life which is run by LAC in conjunction with the Donegal Sports Partnership takes place every Monday at 5.45pm on the track at the Aura Leisure Centre Letterkenny.
The aim of the programme is to reach out to those who wish to improve their fitness and all are most welcome any Monday they choose to attend.
Fit 4 Life is not about speed but fitness and the coaches from LAC particularly welcome newcomers.
