Gang boss Gerry Hutch held a secret meeting in Donegal following the Regency Hotel attack, new images reveal.
Garda surveillance images obtained by the Sunday Independent show Gerry ‘The Monk’ Hutch in Killygordon on 20th February 2016, when the Hutch-Kinahan feud was at its peak.
The Regency Hotel attack had taken place two weeks prior.
The Monk met with former Sinn Féin councillor Jonathan Dowdall at an address in East Donegal.
Photographs show the pair travelling together to the home of convicted IRA man Shane Rowan in Killygordon. Rowan was later jailed for possession of the three AK47s used in the Regency murder.
It’s reported that the meeting involved alleged dissident chief Paul ‘Bosco’ McCready.
Gardaí had followed Hutch from Dublin to Donegal, and the conversations held on that journey would form the key part of the State’s case against Hutch for the murder of David Byrne.
