Letterkenny student Sarah awarded four year scholarship to top American University

A Letterkenny student has been awarded a prestigious four year scholarship to Queen’s University in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Leaving Cert class of 2023 pupil, Sara Bradley is already well-known in athletic circles.

The Loreto student has now been awarded both an academic and athletics scholarship to the prestigious Division 1 university to study biology and to compete in cross country and track athletics.

A spokesperson for Loreto said “Sarah has always represented Loreto Letterkenny with great enthusiasm and pride.

“She has represented the school in numerous events and has brought great success to both herself and the school, including becoming Ulster district champion at cross country and both 1500m and 3000m on the track, as well as competing at county, district, Ulster and all Ireland level from first year right through to sixth year.

“Sarah also won senior cross country athlete of the year at our recent prize giving ceremony.

“Sarah has always been a great ambassador for the school. She volunteered to coach and mentor younger students in her free time and no ask was too big.

“We wish her every success in her future studies and racing career stateside.”
