Jim McGuinness could be Donegal GAA’s new Senior manager as early as tomorrow.
The county board’s next meeting has been brought forward to Monday evening, with just one item on the agenda – the senior football manager appointment.
The name on everyone’s lips is Jim McGuinness, who previously managed the team to All-Ireland success in 2012.
However, the County Board has yet to confirm any details about the appointment, and there are other candidates in the running. A list of nine candidates have officially expressed an interest in the position.
Among those tasked with choosing the new manager are former Donegal greats and 1992 All-Ireland winners Anthony Molloy and Martin McHugh. Both are huge fans of the Glenties man and former Donegal midfielder McGuinness.
