A woman with Multiple Sclerosis is nearing the finish line of a mammoth cycle around Ireland this week in Donegal.
Intrepid cyclist Lis van Lynden from Chiswick, who is cycling solo around the entire coast of Ireland, will finish her journey in Muff in the coming days.
The aim of her journey is to raise money for the MS Trust, as she wants to give back for the support she received since her diagnosis ten years ago.
Diagnosed with MS in 2013 after losing feeling down her right side, Lis decided to take on a challenge that would push herself to the limits in the name of a good cause.
Lis already raised almost £10,000 for MS research after cycling the coast of Great Britain in 2022.
This year is her tenth year anniversary with MS, and she wanted to celebrate by pedalling around the Republic of Ireland and also completing the entire border of Northern Ireland.
After enjoying generous hospitality and support in north Inishowen this weekend, Lis is hoping to reach Muff on Monday or Tuesday. For updates, check out her Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/coddiwomple2wander
