Another busy week for Cloughaneely Golf Club

The weekly notes for Cloughaneely Golf Club are out now.

The club’s annual Club Fundraising Classic takes place on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd September. Cost of entry is €120 per team (€30pp) including a meal after the golf.

The four-person team event is open to ladies and gents with timesheet now open. The club welcome €50 sponsorship from members and businesses.

Results from Sat 19th & Sun 20th Open Singles; 1st: Anne Collum (43) 43pts; 2nd: Gareth McNern, Letterkenny(26) 37pts. Result from Friday 9 Hole; 1st: Stephen McCafferty (10) 18pts BOT.

The Hospice Fundraiser went very well last Thursday with a great turnout. 1st Ladies: Anne Collum (21) 19pts; 1st Gents: Thomas McClafferty (10) 23pts. Thank you to all who contributed with €1015 raised for Donegal Hospice, a very worthy cause.

Anne Collum is in great form recently winning the 9 hole and the 18 Hole Open Singles well done great golf. Results from Tuesday 9 Hole; 1st: Gerard Doran (8) 23pts.

There will be a 9 Hole Scramble Draw this Friday at 5.45pm. Club Member Noreen O’Grady is undertaking volunteering in Tanzania for 3 months. All donations welcome. There will be tea and sandwiches in the clubhouse after at 8pm all welcome.

Normal Open Singles Stableford will take place this Saturday and Sunday. Visitors are welcome and entry is €15pp.

Best of luck to Shaun McGarvey and the Minor League team in their semi final match away in Cruit Island Golf Club this Sunday.

The mid-season golf membership offer is still going very well for more details email or call the golf club. It is great to see this initiative working and more golfers joining.
