The quarter final pairings in the Michael Murphy Sports Intermediate Championship were confirmed this evening following the final round of group games earlier today.

Fanad Gaels pulled off a shock 1-13 to 0-14 victory at home in Portsalon over potential favourites Termon to guarantee a last eight bout against Buncrana.

The remaining quarter-final pairings are: Malin v Bundoran; Termon v Naomh Columba and Downings v Red Hughs. The games will be played in two weeks time with dates and venues to be confirmed.

There were wins today for Bundoran against Naomh Brid; Malin (v Red Hughs); Buncrana (v Naomh Muire); Letterkenny Gaels (v Burt) and Downings (v Naomh Columba).

Despite finishing on three points, however, Letterkenny Gaels will now contest the relegation play-offs against Naomh Brid, while Burt take on Naomh Muire.
