The funeral service for tragic Moville mum-of-two Mary Whitters Borland will take place this Wednesday.

Mary Josephine Whitters Borland, of Bredagh Glen, died following a crash in Moville on Friday morning.

Mrs Whitters Borland was the driver of a car which was involved in a collision with a lorry on the R238 road.

She is survived by her husband Mark, sons Killian and Kai and mother Jane.

Mary’s remains will repose at her home on Monday, 25th September, from 7pm to 10pm, where mourners are welcome to pay their respects, and on Tuesday 26th September, from 12 noon to 3pm and 6pm to 10pm.

Mary’s funeral service will take place on Wednesday, 27th September, at 12 noon in the Greenbank Presbyterian Church, Quigleys Point, followed by private cremation. Family home private on the morning of Mary’s Funeral service, please.

A touching tribute from Mary’s friends at Moville Sea Scouts said: “There are no words to describe the devastation we are feeling after the tragic death of our Scouter, Mary Whitters Borland. Mary has been involved in our group for a number of years with her husband Mark & their two boys, Killian & Kai. Kai is the first of our group to have come right through from Beavers to Ventures which is something Mary was thrilled about.

“Our heartfelt condolences go out to Mark, Killian & Kai and Mary’s mum, Jane. May they all find the strength to get through the days & years ahead.”
