Almost 170 residences and businesses in the Cullion area of Letterkenny are currently without power.

While 75 of these were planned service interruptions to carry out essential works, ESB Networks has confirmed 93 have been caused by a fault.

The planned outages are scheduled to end at 4pm, while the fault should be restored by 5pm.

An earlier power outage in Gweedore, affecting almost 800 customers, has been restored.
