It was another busy week for the members of Buncrana Golf Club.
Result of Open Stableford Sweep
The competition last weekend was an Open Stableford Sweep, the Saturday players had the best
of the weather conditions and it was no surprise then to see a Saturday player taking first prize.
That player was Andy Gormley (26) who shot a very impressive 42 pts to take the first prize and
he will be looking forward to the winter league match play this weekend. Martin Gillespie (16)
took Category 2 with 41 pts, Mark Cocks took Category 1 with 39 pts and the best day went to
Sean Mc Menamin who shot 35 pts on Sunday morning.

Christmas Hamper Qualifying
The qualifying for the Annual Christmas Hamper has commenced and the format is as follows 0-
7 handicaps 20 pts to qualify and 8+ handicaps 21 pts to qualify. The cost will be €4.00 for the
first attempt and €2.00 thereafter. Hamper cards can be taken in conjunction with the Winter
League if the format is suitable.
Fundraising Bingo
The club are running a Fund Raising Bingo in association with iCare in the Inishowen Gateway
Hotel on Thursday 7th December 2023. Houses will be €100, House 5&9 will €150, Sheet House €250 and the last House €1000. The entry fee will be – single book €15, double book €20 and the books come with a free sheet. A good turnout from members and regular bingo players would be greatly appreciated.
