Sadness at passing of GAA stalwart Paddy Murray

There is widespread sadness in the local GAA community following the passing of Letterkenny Paddy Murray.

Paddy, who lived at Knocknamona Terrace in Letterkenny, was 93 years old.

He had been long associated with Termon GAA Club and was honoured by the club for his long service in November past.

Born in Currin, Termon, he joined the Termon club in 1965.

Paddy was well known in the medical profession where he served as a psychiatric nurse at St Conals Hospital.

GAA was his passion and he also served as Ulster Representative for Donegal GAA.

Reposing at the Letterkenny Funeral Home, F92P407  from 6pm to 9pm this evening, Thursday and going to the family home for reposal tomorrow Friday from 2pm to 9pm.

Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11am in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny with burial afterwards in Conwal Cemetery.
