Dunkineely poet Nigel Llyod has published a poetry book with a charitable twist.
The profits from the book, filled with generally light-hearted and amusing verses, will be donated towards cancer charities in Donegal.
26 Poems is an ideal gift and is available for €10 at Sherrins Londis Mountcharles and Wild Atlantic Crafts in Killybegs.
The profits will be divided between two local cancer charities: Solace Donegal Town and Cancer Care West.
Lloyd’s poems have been published in several magazines, including Crannog and Progressive Rock Magazine. He has also been recognised for his talent in poetry competitions, being a finalist in the Bring your Limericks to Limerick competition in 2018 and the Piano Academy of Ireland Limerick competition in 2021. In addition to his achievements, Lloyd’s work has been featured on BBC Radio Ulster Soundscapes programme.
