The public have been advised to post cards and packages as soon as possible to ensure they arrive at their destinations in time for Christmas.
An Post has released their list of posting dates to ensure your cards and presents reach their destination before December 25. Check out the dates below. Remember, these dates are only estimated so be sure to give yourself plenty of breathing room, especially if you’re sending anything internationally.
All post offices are open from 9am to 5:30pm tomorrow.
The latest posting dates to ensure delivery before Christmas are:
Standard Letter & Parcels
Republic of Ireland: December 21
Northern Ireland: December 19
Great Britain: December 18
Rest of Europe: December 18 / December 14 for parcels
Dates for the USA and the rest of the world passed on December 11 and December 6.
Express Post
Republic of Ireland: December 21
Northern Ireland: December 19
Great Britain: December 18
Rest of Europe: December 18
Deadline for the USA and the rest of the world expired on December 11.
International Courier Service
Great Britain: December 20
Rest of Europe: December 19
Deadlines for the USA and rest of the world expire at close of business today.
No post
Customers should note that there will be no mail delivery or collection from December 23 until December 27, with mail delivery and collection services returning on December 28.
