Another busy week for Buncrana Golf Club

It was another busy week for Buncrana Golf Club.

The Competition last weekend was an 18 Holes Open Stableford sweep and with the greens in excellent conditions it was up to the golfers to take full advantage. The best score of the weekend was returned by North West player Brendan Murphy (7) who shot a very impressive 70 gross to leave him with the winning score of 39 pts. Cormac Doherty (21) took Category 2 with 38 pts, Toish Fitzpatrick (28) took category 3 on a break of a tie with 37 pts and best day went to Andy Gormley (25) with 37 pts on Saturday.

Upcoming Fixtures

Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th December – 18 Holes Open Stableford Sweep last cards on

Sunday will be 9.30 a.m.

Wednesday 27th December O’ Flaherty’s Bar 9 Holes 3 Club Challenge – This will be a

shotgun start so the course will have to be clear for 11:00 a.m. anyone wishing to play 9 holes

can book a tee time up until 9:30 a.m. Anyone wishing to play in the 9 hole competition can

contact O’ Flaherty’s Bar Buncrana. The course will re-open again from 12:45 p.m. and the time

sheets will be available to book tee times.

The Draw for the Winter League 2023 semi-finals – to be played on or before Sunday 7th January 2024.

New Membership Deal for 2024 – 2025

Christmas Holidays

The clubhouse will close @ 12.30 p.m. on Sunday 24th December until 9:00 a.m. Wednesday

27th December. Any members who have their clubs in the clubhouse and wish to golf during this period should make arrangements to remove their clubs from the clubhouse locker rooms.

Any golf to be played on the course when the clubhouse is closed has to be booked through the

ClubNet App and it will be essential that tee times are pre-booked.

Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Buncrana Golf Club will take place on Monday 15th January

2024 @ 7:00 p.m. sharp in the clubhouse function room. All eligible members are requested to

attend.
