Donegal is bracing for more snow and freezing conditions tonight, with temperatures expected to drop to -4C in some parts.
Forecasters are warning of widespread frost and icy stretches, with patches of fog and freezing fog that may also affect visibility.
The cold snap will continue to affect travel on Thursday, with frost, ice, and fog lingering all day.
Scattered snow showers are also forecast, extending down over Ulster later in the day.
Another snow-ice warning has been issued for Donegal until 11am Thursday.
Donegal County Council has announced that gritters will be out on all major routes from 4pm today (Wednesday) and again from 5am on Thursday morning. The council is urging road users to take extreme care and assume that no road is ice free.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys and to drive with caution.
