Ice, low temperature warnings to remain in place until tomorrow

The cold snap is set to continue on into at least tomorrow.

The current status yellow snow and ice warning for Donegal is set to expire at 11am this morning, but road conditions are expected to remain treacherous.

A nationwide low temperature and ice warning is still in place until 11 am on Friday morning, with motorists across Donegal reporting extremely treacherous conditions, particularly in Letterkenny and Inishowen.

Current forecasts show that temperatures are expected to rise from Saturday onwards – but until then, keep the blankets at the ready…
