Gardaí from Ballybofey Garda Station will hold a property marking event next Monday at Stranorlar Mart between 3pm and 5pm.
The property marking machine can be used on a number of surfaces including metal, carbon fibre, wood and plastic. It uses a pattern of dots to mark property, making it highly distinguishable and easy to return in the case of theft, rendering it unattractive to thieves.
“This will be a good opportunity to permanently mark your trailers etc. with your eircode,” a garda spokesperson said.
“Please ensure that you have your correct eircode with you.
Information will also be distributed at the event in relation to the latest Garda recruitment campaign. Everybody is welcome to come along.
