Legendary Finn Harps supporters to pen unique club history

Two legendary Finn Harps supporters are in the process of writing a unique history of the club.

Joe Doherty and Bartley Ramsay have combined their knowledge to profile all 628 players who have played for Harps in the League of Ireland up until the end of the 2023 season.

‘We are the Harps’ is a history of those who have represented the club since 1969.

When the final whistle was blown on the game between Bray Wanderers and Finn Harps last October, it brought to an end the club’s 2002 competitive game in senior football and also drew the curtain on Harps’ 55th season in the League of Ireland.

“Whether it was Jonathan Minnock who played in 485 games or the 73 players who managed to see action in just a single game each, all have contributed to the history of the club in their first 55 years in senior football,” Doherty said this week.

“Delighted that this project that myself and Bartley Ramsay have been working on for some time is nearing its completion.”

The book will retail at €20 and will be available in April/May 2024.

You also have the opportunity to be included in the book. The chance to be a subscriber will only be available for a limited time only, and closes on Friday 15th March.
