It was another busy week for Buncrana Golf Club.

Competition Results

The format for the competition last weekend was a bramble, a slight twist on the scramble format with extra pressure put on the individual score. The players rose to the challenge with some great scores returned over the 2 days. None better than the 120 pts returned by Barry Kearney (9), Michael King (11), Karl King (12) & Jamie Friel (18). This team played some tremendous golf to shoot this score with no less than 11 birdies between them over their 18 holes of golf. Owen McDaid Mini Bus & Taxi Hire Winter League

The final of the Non-Qualifiers section in the Owen McDaid Mini Bus & Taxi Hire Winter League took place last weekend between Liam Lynch & John P Mc Connell against John Bradley & Emmet Friel. It was a very sporting and competitive match that saw Emmet & John take an early 2 hole lead after 6 holes. However John P & Liam held their composure to fight back well to go 1 up after 9. At this stage John P & Liam started to show their match play experience and were not going to make any further slip ups and went on to finish the match 4 & 3.
