Further arrests could be made as investigations into the cause of the explosion which claimed 10 lives in Creeslough 18 months ago continue.
The Irish Times has reported this evening that there are several other “people of interest” that Gardaí are intending to interview, as they are assessing whether there is criminal culpability for any party involved in the case.
There has been no suggestion that any deliberate actions were taken to damage the gas system, and according to the Irish Times Gardaí are investigating whether the installation and maintainence of the system was carried out correctly.
This follows the arrests and release of two men in their 50s earlier this week, under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act 1997.
