Donegal Gardaí launched a series of morning raids in Dundalk today over last year’s major drugs find on local beaches.
Bales of cocaine with an estimated street value of over €4 million washed up on the north Donegal coastline on beaches in Dunfanaghy and Fanad last July.
As investigations continue into the haul, Donegal Gardaí assisted by Louth Gardaí carried out searches earlier today at a number of locations in Dundalk.
“Items of potential evidential value to the investigation have been seized, including electronic devices and documents,” a garda spokesperson said.
“No arrests have been made at this time. Investigations are ongoing.”
