The volunteer Arranmore RNLI crew got an early Easter surprise when the crew of the Arranmore Ferry delivered Easter eggs in appreciation of the service they provide to the island and all who use the sea.
Delivering the eggs, ferry employee Rosemary Gallagher, said: “We just wanted to say thank you to the lifeboat crew who provide such an important service all year round. Dominic and the ferry crew would like to wish the crew a happy and peaceful Easter, we really appreciate all the time these volunteers give to saving lives at sea.”
Lifeboat coxswain Jimmy Early thanked Dominic and his crew on the ferry for this very thoughtful gesture.
“We will try to save the eggs for Easter Sunday, but the temptation to tuck in right away may win out. We would like to wish everybody a happy and safe Easter and urge people to be familiar with the Coast Guard, RNLI and Water Safety Ireland Easter safety message.”
