A large crowd gathered in the Twin Towns this afternoon for the annual Drumboe Martyrs Commemoration.
The sun shone on the marchers this Easter Sunday, as they paid tribute to the Drumboe Martyrs – four young republican soldiers who were killed at Drumboe Castle on the 14th of March, 1923.
101 years on, members of the republican community and Sinn Fein were out in force to remember the martyrs, marching from St Johnson’s corner to the men’s execution site.
