A report from the Irish Independent shows that Donegal has the lowest proportion of drivers with penalty points in the entire Republic of Ireland.
Only 3.4% of drivers in Donegal picked up penalty points last year, the lowest rate in the state and almost half of the county with the highest rate, Offaly at 6.2%.
Donegal drivers also had the lowest three-year rolling average of penalty points on their licences according to the Irish Independent, at 11%, well below the national average of 15.9%.
