Laghey girl Grace Hannigan has been welcomed onto her local garda force as a Little Blue Hero.
The inspirational girl from Golard was selected to be an Honorary Garda as part of the charity programme supporting children with serious illnesses while recognising their strengths and bravery.
Grace was delighted to be visited by Garda Mark Sweeney and Garda Brian Gallagher on Sunday to receive her Garda uniform.
And once it was fitted, she just couldn’t wait to report for duty!
“Well done H/Garda Grace!” said gardaí.
