Amy Boyle-Carr has touched down in Oz as she begins her Aussie Rules career with the Adelaide Crows.

The team turned out in force to give a warm welcome to their newest rookie at the airport.

Glenties native Boyle-Carr is a three-time Ulster champion with Donegal, winning player of the match in the 2019 Ulster final. She has also represented Ireland in soccer when she was selected to play in a FIFA World Cup Qualifier against the Netherlands in 2018, when she was only 17.

Glenfin’s Yvonne Bonner also played for ‘The Crows’ until she announced her retirement at the end of the season and that she is to return to Donegal.

The Crows begin their AFLW pre-season fixtures on Sunday, 11th August.

Adelaide’s 2024 AFLW season officially kicks off with a clash against Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval on 31st August.
