Winner for Rathmullan’s Luke McAteer at Laytown

Jockey Luke McAteer enjoyed a winning run and a second place finish at the Laytown Races on Monday.

McAteer rode Jered Maddox to victory in the 4:35 Handicap. The 8/1 shot horse is trained by David Marnane. In a close finish, McAteer battled for the lead inside the final furlong and held on for a victory.

The Rathmullan man found another gear in the 5:35 Tote.ie Claiming Race, coming second aboard Fly to Glory (12/1), trained by PJ F Murphy.
