Gardaí have opened investigations into three separate incidents of criminal damage to cars in Donegal.

The incidents were reported in Letterkenny, Lifford and Portsalon since the weekend.

The first incident took place in the area of Ros Suilighe, Oldtown, Letterkenny between 7.30 pm on Sunday, 22nd September, and 1 pm on Monday, 23rd September. A car parked along the roadside was damaged, with the rear passenger door appearing to have been kicked.

In Lifford, a car parked at Bridge View Apartments had its rear windscreen smashed sometime between midnight and 9 am on Sunday, 22nd September.

The third incident occurred in Portsalon on Friday, 20th September, between 8.15 pm and 8.45 pm. A car was parked at the pier between those times and the owner returned to discover that the sun roof had been smashed. Gardaí are particularly interested in dashcam footage from anyone who may have been in the area between 8 pm and 9 pm.

Gardaí are appealing to the public for any information that may help them identify those responsible for these acts of vandalism. Anyone with relevant information on the Letterkenny and Lifford incidents is urged to contact Letterkenny Garda Station on 074-9167100 or Milford Garda Station on 074-9153060 in relation to the Portsalon incident.
