A number of public works by a local artist are creating a lot of interest in a west Donegal Gaeltacht village.
Andrea Redmond created the piece (main pic) as a tribute to the memories of happy times in a pub which used to be situated on that site in Doochary.
This work, and all the others throughout the village, were kindly donated by the artist.
“All have been valuable assets to the village and have been admired by people from all over the world,” a spokesperson for Doochary Development committee said.
“Andrea, a committee member herself, works tirelessly to promote this area, the businesses within it and the school and has personally secured funding for many of the projects and events held here sacrificing many hours of her time. Her contribution is priceless and she does this out of love for the village.”
