The Office of Public Works (OPW), in conjunction with Donegal County Council, along with RPS the engineering consultants and Ryan Hanley, the environmental consultants, wish to invite members of the public to a consultation event at which the preferred option for the scheme will be displayed.

The event will take place in the Old Courthouse, Lifford, Co. Donegal on 28th November 2024 from 1.00pm to 8.00pm. In advance of the event, information and content on the Lifford Flood Relief  Scheme will be delivered by post, to households, business owners and stakeholders within the scheme area.

The purpose of the event is to give interested parties a preview of the proposed scheme which was selected following careful consideration of a number of possible options and route alignments of flood defence structures by the project team and steering group. This event provides an opportunity to view scheme drawings and information posters as well as to ask questions and engage with the project team. Feedback is welcome from members of the public and may submit comments, observations and/or queries. Questionnaires will be available both online and at the event. Attendance and feedback from the general public is very important. You have the opportunity to have your voice heard and to inform us regarding local knowledge, we ensure your views are taken into account and fully considered.

Members of the Project Team, including our Engineering & Environmental Consultants, RPS and Ryan  Hanley will attend the public consultation event to provide further information and answer any queries.

Questionnaires can be returned via drop-boxes at the Lifford Old Courthouse on the day of the event  (28th November 2024 from 1.00pm to 8.00pm), via the Project Website: www.liffordfrs.ie , via email: liffordfrs@ryanhanley.ie or by post to:

Ryan Hanley Ltd,
1 Galway Business Park,
Dangan,
Galway.
H91 A3EF

The OPW and Donegal County Council would encourage interested parties to attend and engage with this event. All feedback received will be treated in strict accordance with the General Data Protection  Regulations (GDPR).
