Watch out, there’s a new blackbelt in town!

Philip Doherty from Bundoran last night received his jiu-jitsu black belt from Professor Bryan Gorman at Rilion Gracie Donegal Town.

Philip is 49 years old and is believed to be the first and only Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt holder in Bundoran.

It has taken 12 years of hard work and training to reach this milestone achievement.

Philip is a pillar of his local club, having introduced countless new members to the martial art. His dedication extends beyond the mats, where he’s a constant source of support and inspiration, both within the club and throughout the wider community.
