Young Donegal boxers bring home four All-Ireland titles

Donegal’s young boxing talent was on full display, with four brilliant All-Ireland title wins yesterday.

Boxers from across the county found success in a brilliant day for the sport’s future in the county.

Raphoe Boxing Club’s Taylor Parke claimed the Youth 1 46kg title, defeating three-time Irish Champion Nicholas O’Rourke of St Mary’s in the Semi-Finals before winning his final against Gerard O’Looney with a decisive stoppage.

Carys McFadden of Dunfanaghy Boxing Club took also took victory in her All-Ireland final, with yet another decisive stoppage win against Olivia Wardzinska to take the crown.

Kerry Brown of Convoy Boxing Club made it yet another victory via stoppage for Donegal’s punchers, this time ending the Final fight in the first round against Leah O’Brien.

Meanwhile Dungloe’s Alesha Mullis made it a fourth All-Ireland title victory for Donegal as she took a decision victory in her U16 final.
