Plans for major student accommodation complex in Letterkenny

Plans have been submitted to Donegal County Council for a major new student apartment complex in the centre of Letterkenny.

Omega Fusion Limited is seeking permission for the development behind The Pulse nightclub on the Port Road.

The proposal includes the demolition of an existing house and sheds to make way for the construction of a four-storey student accommodation unit containing 30 bedrooms, living accommodation and a roof terrace amenity space.

It will also include a three-storey apartment block containing 6 no. 2-bed apartments as well as a three-storey apartment block containing 6 no. 2-bed apartments and 3 no. 1-bed apartments, (total no. of apartments – 15). Ancillary accommodation is to include car parking, bicycle parking, shared bin storage compounds and landscaped amenity areas.
