McHugh urges fans to turn out in force tonight as Harps entertain Wexford FC

Finn Harps return to action against Wexford FC tonight in the SSE Airtricity League First Division action.

Kick-off at Finn Park is 7:45pm.

Harps lie just one point off the bottom of the table, seven points behind sixth place Wexford.

Tonight’s challenge will be made more difficult with the absence of captain, Tony McNamee, through suspension.

Kevin McHugh told club media he hoped the mid-season break would bring a change in fortunes for his young team.

“We have not gotten the rub of the green in the last few home games, but if the players keep applying themselves with the hunger and desire they have shown recently, I am certain things will change,” he said.

“Again I want to highlight the importance of our supporters, we have one of, if not the youngest, squad in the division and your support is imperative to help us improve our points tally.”
