More Notes from Rosses AC:
In Tullamore the All Ireland Childrens Games and u12 Championships were taking place for the u9 to u12 age groups. There was a great cheer for Reuben Ward and Emmett O Neill who claimed silver medals.
Not for the first time these two boys paired up for the children’s games and over the past few weeks have stuck at training and it all paid dividends yesterday as they claimed team all Ireland silver medals.
Emmett threw a brilliant 23+ meters throw to finish 2nd overall and with Reuben throwing over 21 metres, they got themselves onto 2nd place on the podium. There were so many other strong performances on the day and close podium positions. This brings to a close the competitive T&F season for our U9-U12 athletes. It has been another tremendous season with the club again proving itself.

As we approach summer break now, it is worthwhile remembering that the next block of training for many will be our cross-country (XC) season which will likely kick off late August so stay tuned.
Finally, a huge thank you to the parents of kids for their commitment to training and events all season, to our coaches who put in a huge amount of time and effort with these kids, our club committee/administrators who do so much unseen work and those who represent the club as officials at regional and national events.
