Donegal’s Ladies footballers are getting ready for their LGFA Senior Championship relegation playoff game against Armagh this afternoon.
In an unlikely rematch of this year’s Ulster Final, the two provincial rivals are now battling to beat the drop to the Intermediate Championship.
Donegal were knocked out of the All-Ireland Championship by Tipperary in the Qualifiers in a narrow defeat to Tipperary, while Ulster Champions Armagh failed to qualify from their All-Ireland group after drawing against Meath and being defeated by Kildare.
The winners of today’s contest will have their Senior Championship status secured for next year, with the losers confirmed to face either Mayo or Leitrim in the relegation playoff final.
Throw-in this afternoon at the Stewartstown Harps ground in Tyrone is at 2pm, with tickets still available online for the contest.
