DONEGAL GARDA HAS DRINK-DRIVING CRASH CASE ADJOURNED

GARDA LOGO 3A Garda who is originally from Co Donegal has had a case of drink-driving and dangerous driving against him adjourned.

Kevin McLaughlin, 29, was remanded on continuing bail to appear again at Carrickmacross District Court on June 8th next.

McLaughlin, from Gartan, Churchill, is charged in connection with an incident in which the car he was driving reportedly crashed into a Garda patrol car.

McLaughlin, who is stationed at Carrickmacross, is facing alleged charges that he drove while exceeding the alcohol limit at Moyles, Monaghan on March 21st, 2015.

It is also alleged that he drove dangerously when he collided with a patrol car that was dealing with another incident.

He faces other charges that he also had no tax or a valid NCT.

Monaghan District Court was told that the case will be full contested by Mr McLaughlin.
