Finn Harps are on their way to victory again – as Ollie Horgan’s side have a super lead at half-time against Limerick FC tonight.
Half-time: Finn Harps 3 Limerick FC 1
Ciara O’Connor (Pictured), Danny Morrissey and Caolan McAleer have all been on the mark as Harps, as things stand tonight, go to eighth in the table.
Harps had a dream start as O’Connor’s fifth goal of the season put them in front after just seven minutes.
Paddy McCourt’s corner, after Freddy Hall turned over a brilliant Ciaran Coll header, was headed back by Ethan Boyle. With Morrissey unable to steer in his acrobatic effort, the in-rushing O’Connor applied the finish.
The lead barely lasted two minutes as Lee-J Lynch’s long-range free kick sailed all the way to the Harps net.
But Harps got back in front midway through the first half. Coll’s diagonal ball was cushioned into the penalty area by Caolan McAleer and Morrissey stretched in to slot home.
McAleer got in on the act on 40 minutes, curling in off the bar from 20 yards and Finn Park ids a happy place again.
