BRIDGEND man Kevin Doherty has given a TV interview recalling his ordeal at the hands of armed thugs who threatened to shoot his wife and baby.

Yesterday donegaldaily.com revealed that the 36-year-old was taken around every room in his house “with a gun to my head”.

“They told my wife ‘We’re going to shoot him unless you tell us where the safe is’. She said ‘We don’t have a safe’,” he said.

“They said ‘If you don’t tell us where the safe is we’ll shoot all three of you’.”

The robbers – two of whom were armed with guns – forced him to hand over around £6,000 as well as cigarettes, before taking him outside and ordering him to lie in his car.

Now in this interview with UTV, he tells more about his ordeal.
