The Boys Football U14 County Final v Naomh Conaill takes place this Sunday, September 15th in MacCumhaill Park at 5pm.
There is a Table Quiz next Tuesday evening (Sept. 18th) at 9pm in the Glencar Inn in support of the Co. team Training Fund. We will also be inviting the Gaels to take part so please make an effort to turn up, we will try and have the Anglo Celt Cup in attendance if it is not needed elsewhere. Teams of 4 cost €20 (€5 per person).

Please make a big effort now in the last week of our All-Ireland Final Tickets Draw to get your tickets sold and returned asap. If you need tickets to sell, contact Elaina on 087-2901541, tickets are €5 for 1 ticket or a book of 3 for €10. If you work in an office, please circulate details of our Draw to your colleagues via e-mail. Someone I know did this and sold 11 books in half an hour!
Thanks to all those that have volunteered their time this Saturday in the Shopping Centre, we still need more volunteers. We need some people between 12noon – 2pm and 4pm – 6pm.
The County Senior Hurling Final takes place in O’Donnell Park this Saturday afternoon between holders, Burt and 2010 champions MacCumhaills. Throw-in is at 5:30pm and a large crowd is expected. All available hurling stewards please be at the Park for 4:15pm.
We will also host the U14 Boys football Div. 2 Co. final between Fanad Gaels and St. Naul’s on Saturday at 3:45pm.
U12 Girls Football training has resumed at 6pm on Wednesday’s in the Park.
Please remember to sell and return your tickets for the All-Ireland Final tickets draw. Tickets cost €5 for 1 ticket or book of 3 for €10. We are looking for volunteers to help sell tickets. We would like some kids to sell tickets in their estates if parents could contact Paul McGovern (086-8114151) or John Haran (086-2133522) asap. We will have the Anglo Celt Cup this Saturday all day at Letterkenny Shopping Centre from 10am for anyone that wants a picture with it. We also need volunteers for an hour or two during the day to man the tables, again contact John or Paul. If anyone is available to help out with ticket selling around town over the weekend in the pubs etc please contact us asap.
The Juniors exited the Championship after a poor home display v Naomh Columba. We wish them the best of luck in the next round. It looks like the Seniors and Reserves will be idle once again this week with only two league matches remaining.
The Minor Boys drew with Aodh Ruadh in their League semi-final so it looks like it will be going to a replay. They will meet old rivals Cloughaneely in the Northern Championship Final with the date and venue tbc.
The U15 Boys advanced to the Northern Final and a meeting with Gaoth Dobhair after they defeated St. Mary’s, Convoy on Monday night.
The U14 boys will meet N. Conaill in the Co. Final after the Glenties men overcame Buncrana in their semi-final. Our lads defeated Ardara last week in their semi.
The U13 Div. 1 team had a good win over Cloughaneely on Friday, they are at home this Friday to Buncrana. The div. 2 team lost a very close game with Fanad and they make the short trip to face Glenswilly this week. The Div. 3 team put in another good performance in Downings before going down, they travel to Robert Emmett’s this Friday.
Congratulations to the U12 hurling team that defeated Buncrana in their county final in the Park last Thursday evening. The U16 Hurling League B Final between St Eunan’s and Burt resulted in an invigorating display of strength from the team. St Eunan’s won the match and are looking forward to playing Letterkenny Gaels at home this Thursday in the B Championship Semi-Final.
The U8 Hurlers fielded two teams in the U8 Hurling Blitz hosted by Letterkenny Gaels on Sunday. They played 7 competitive games. Teams in attendance were St. Eunan’s, Letterkenny Gaels, Aodh Ruadh, Burt, Four Masters and Carndonagh. Many thanks to the parents for their help and support and a big thank you to the Letterkenny Gaels for a well organised Blitz.
Adult members registered by March 31st can apply by text only on 087-2668633 to Charlie McAteer for one ticket for the All-Ireland SFC Final v Mayo on Sept. 23rd until This Thursday, Sept. 13th at 5pm. No orders will be accepted after this cut off point. Do not apply on behalf of other people, they will not be accepted. Be sure to put your name on the text. We hope to distribute the tickets early next week if possible so keep an eye on e-mail and Facebook for details.
All Ireland final of Scór na nÓg will be in Derry on Saturday 23rd April 2013. Ulster Final of Scór na nÓg will be in Derry on Saturday 12th January 2013; The three Ulster semi finals will take place on the 1st, 7th and 8th December 2012 – Venues to be arranged by Coiste Scór Uladh. Donegal County final will take place on the 10th November 2012 in Glenswilly tbc. The three semi finals in Donegal will take place on 12th October in Muff, 19th October in Glenfin tbc and 26th October in Rann na Feirste tbc.
