ON an evening when the Sam Maguire was being paraded around the county, the lights were turned on for Donegal on one of Letterkenny’s main icons.

The Polestar has gone gold and green in time for the All-Ireland battle with Mayo ahead.

There’s no mistaking the heightened excitement across Donegal as the clock ticks down to Sunday.

One reader sent in the image below – insisting that she has been told this will be broadcast on Sky News on Sunday morning!
