Well done to Rory and Kevin. It will be a day in their lives to cherish forever. Rory gave a fantastic display at centre field while Kevin’s year has unfortunately been blighted by injury or we are sure he would have had a big part to play too.

An e-mail was sent earlier this evening about the upcoming World Record Attempt this Saturday, September 29th in O’Donnell Park from 11am for Registration. The Coaching session itself is scheduled to begin at 12noon but all registration must take place first. All club coaches are needed for this attempt. More details below.

The U13 Girls claimed the Co. title earlier this evening against Moville in the final on a score of  5-11 to 1-05 in Buncrana.

Come out and support the Seniors and Reserves on Sunday  as they get their Championship campaign underway with home games against Kilcar with the Reserve game throwing in at 1:30pm and the Seniors on at 3pm.

The draw for All-Ireland Hurling Final Replay tickets takes place tomorrow evening (Thursday) at 7:30pm in the Clubhouse. Text Charlie McAteer if you want your name entered into the draw on 087-2668633.

September 23rd, 2012 is a day that will live long in the memories of all the people of Donegal after the superb win against Mayo in the All-Ireland SFC Final in Croke Park. Well done to Jim and his backroom team and to Rory, Kevin and all the players on their magnificent achievement in bringing Sam back to Donegal again! Rory gave a superb display in centre field.

Club football is set to take centre stage once again with the Senior championship scheduled to get underway this weekend. Kilcar will visit O’Donnell Park on Sunday with the Reserve game at 1:30pm and the Seniors throwing in at 3pm.

Before that, on Saturday, we will attempt to break the World Record for the Largest GAA Training Session. Registration will begin at 11am with the training session beginning at 12noon sharp. All children are asked to return their sponsorship cards to their schools asap. Adults can pay €10 at the gate on the day. We will have fun games, races, barbecue etc. on the day as well and we hope to have a very special guest in our midst!

The U16 Hurlers claimed the B championship after an impressive win over Carndonagh in Burt on Thursday evening. Well done to everyone involved.

The Minor Boys still await their league semi-final replay v Aodh Ruadh and their opponents in the co. championship semi-final.

The U15 Northern Final v Gaoth Dobhair will also be refixed at some stage this week.

The U13 Div. 1 team had a good win over neighbours Termon to continue their unbeaten run, they finish their Northern section with a home game against Gaoth Dobhair in the Park on Friday at 6:15pm. The Div. 2 team were beaten by St. Michaels last week and make the short trip to the Glebe this week to take on the Gaels. The Div. 3 team lost at home to Urris and they finish their league fixtures with a home game against N. Padraig, Muff also scheduled for Friday.

The U13 Girls reached their county final where they will take on Moville after a good win over MacCumhaills.

The U8/U10 Hurlers/Camogie players had a wonderful party at the end of training on Friday with thanks to Kelly’s Centra of Mountain Top.

There were 3 winners in this week’s Lotto draw. They each matched 3 numbers and win €35. The numbers drawn were: 4-5-7-20. Eugene Dowling, Kiltoy; John Ellison, Lismonaghan and The Forde Family, Killyclug.
