The wedding of Eoghan McMonagle and Edelle McHugh today
YOU may have thought the Sam Maguire Cup’s World Tour of Donegal was over – but the tour continued this evening when the famous trophy made a guest appearance at its first wedding since last week’s All-Ireland triumph.
And happy couple Eoghan McMonagle and Edelle McHugh were delighted with this particular wedding crasher!
Sam wasn’t even a Plus One when they exchanged vows earlier today.
But by the time the trophy arrived at the Silver Tassie in time for the reception, he was a ‘Plus Three’ at his first Donegal wedding in two decades.
For Donegal captain Michael Murphy and Glenswilly clubmates Neil Gallagher and Gary McFadden personally delivered the Sam Maguire to the wedding bash.
And because this was the first Donegal wedding Sam has been to in 20 years, it made for one very special wedding day snap.

Below, we are told, is a picture of one guest handing over a large amount of cash to another.
Something, apparently, to do with one of them winning an All-Ireland final bet.
