Club Notes – Naomh Adhamhnáin – 01.10.12

The Seniors put in a very disappointing display against Kilcar in the Championship in O’Donnell Park on Sunday and they have a huge mountain to climb in Towney next week in the return leg. The Reserves fared better in their game, winning by 10 points to 5 and will be hopeful they can advance next week.

The Minors still await details of their League semi-final replay and their Championship semi-final.

The U15 Boys  are also trying to schedule their Northern final against Gaoth Dobhair in the coming week, see the club e-mail and facebook page for details when they are announced.

The U13 Div. 1 Boys completed the League section of their campaign with  a good win over Gaoth Dobhair to finish with  a 100% record and qualify for the Northern Board Final. The Div. 2 team drew 5-08 to 5-08 with the Gaels on Monday night to complete their campaign. The Div. 3 team were defeated by N. Padraig, Muff in their final game on Friday.

The Minor Girls footballers have qualified for the Co. semi-finals after a 2 point win away to Moville on Friday. The U16’s have also reached their Co. final after defeating Fanad Gaels last week. Opponents, Dates and venues to be confirmed.

Well done to St Eunan’s U13 Hurlers that beat the Gaels in the North West League. They also had a walk-over over Coleraine. There will be a hurling meeting on Wednesday 3rd Oct at 7pm.

There was a fantastic turnout on Saturday in O’Donnell Park for our attempt to beat the world record for the Largest GAA Training Session. We narrowly failed to claim the record, missingout by just 184 people (the record is 2,185 and we had 2,002!). Special thanks to Rory Kavanagh, Kevin Rafferty and Frank McGlynn who brought Sam Maguire and posed for pictures with all the families in attendance.

The Training Pitch is in bad shape at the minute. Please use common sense when choosing what area to train in for the benefit of everyone.

This week’s lotto numbers will be sent in a club e-mail later in the week. They are also available in Blake’s Bar.
