NEWSLETTER Sunday 10th March 2013 Fourth Sunday of Lent
THANK YOU
On Saturday 9th February we marked ‘World Day of the Sick’ with Mass and Anointing of the Sick. This is a special day in our Parish and we thank all who were present and helped out in any way.
On Sunday 24th February we celebrated ‘25 years’ of St. Pius X Adoration Chapel. Thanks to everyone for your co-operation which made the afternoon of prayer and thanksgiving such a success. Thanks especially to the Adoration Chapel Committee of their commitment and organisation of this day and to Fr. Thaddeus Doyle who led us in prayer, thanksgiving and healing.
CONGRATULATIONS
This weekend we would like to congratulate all the boys and girls from Gaelscoil Adhamhnain, Scoil Naomh Fiachra, Scoil Cholmcille, St. Bernadette’s and Scoil Mhuire Gan Smal who received the Sacrament of Confirmation over the last number of weeks. We pray for them, their parents and families. We sincerely thank all who prepared the children for this Sacrament.
EDUCATION OF STUDENTS FOR THE PRIESTHOOD IN THE DIOCESE
Today, we make our annual appeal for funds to help with the Education of future Priests for our Diocese. We suggest that each household donate €5 towards this fund. Any contribution is appreciated. Your contribution should be put in the enclosed envelope and returned to the Cathedral next Sunday, St. Patrick’s Day. At present we have five young men studying for our Diocese, one of these being our Deacon Jonathan Flood who will be ordained on 30th June.
Trocaire Boxes are available at the back of the Cathedral. Please give what you can this Lent.
