NEWSREADER ANNE SAID SHE HAS NO REGRETS ABOUT McDAID RELATIONSHIP

Former RTE newsreader Anne Doyle says she has no regrets having a relationship with former Donegal Minister Jim McDaid.

The well-known reporter embarked on a six month relationship with Dr McDaid fifteen years ago.

Deputy McDaid was then the Minister for Tourism in 1998.

Anne, 61, said “I had a brief and enjoyable relationship with James.

“We parted amicably, both lucky to move to happy places. I don’t regret anything.”
