CUTLIFFE WELCOMES BACKING TO RETAIN GARDA DRUGS UNIT

Vice-chair of Donegal Education and Training Board, Peter Cutliffe has welcomed the decision by the Board to support the retention of the Garda Drugs unit in the county.

The decision follows a meeting Gardai and local public representatives. “Following on from a very successful meeting with the Garda Chief Superintendent, the County Mayor, representatives of the four town councils & myself, I am delighted that the ETB have today shown its support to this very important issue,” said Mr Cutliffe . And he addd “We need to explore every avenue to counteract the curse of Drugs in our society and educate people of the danger associated with drug abuse.”
