Gardai have appealed to motorists traveling from Letterkenny to Ramelton in both directions to travel via Kilmacrennan following a serious accident.
The emergency services are at the scene of the accident.
The single vehicle accident at Castleshanaghan has left a young man in a critical condition. A woman was also injured.
